All amateur radio bands authorized by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

5. Communication Methods, etc.
(1) Calling
Phone…CQ NEW YEAR PARTY
CW…CQ NYP
Data, images, ATV, etc., follow the same procedures as phone or CW.
(2) Exchange Information
RST code or signal strength report of the other station + operator's name (real name, hundle name, initials also permitted)
(3)Eligible Stations for Exchange
Domestic Stations: Stations contacted (received) shall be amateur stations within Japan and abroad.
Foreign Stations: Stations contacted (received) shall be limited to amateur stations within Japan.
6. Prohibited Practices During Communication
Deviations from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Notice “Classification of Waveforms and Frequency Usage for Amateur Radio Operations”
Use of repeaters
7. LOG Submission
Amateur stations with 20 or more complete contact stations or SWLs with 20 or more complete reception stations
Electronic Log Submission
Upload a text log file in Cabrillo or JARL electronic log format from the log submission web page, or send it as a text email to the submission address listed below.

Paper Log Submission
Submit a paper summary and log in JARL format (or equivalent, A4 size).
Log Submission Deadline:
January 31, 2026
Paper Logs are mailed to: JARL, New Year QSO Party, 170-8073, Japan
8. Participation Commemorative Items
Amateur stations and SWLs submitting documents will receive a commemorative sticker (see photo above) upon request.
For electronic logs
Commemorative stickers will be sent as electronic data. (Paper type commemorative stickers will not be sent.)
To request commemorative stickers: When submitting documents, enter your email address in the field of the electronic log.
For paper logs
A Paper type commemorative sticker will be sent via the return envelope.
For domestic stations
requesting a commemorative sticker:
Include a return envelope (a standard-size envelope with your postal code, address, name, and return postage affixed) when submitting documents.
For foreign stations
requesting commemorative stickers:
When submitting documents, include a return envelope (SAE) and 2 IRCs.
Commemorative stickers will not be sent in the following cases:
If these regulations are violated
If false information is provided on the submitted summary sheet, etc.
