TOKYO2020 OLYMPIC・PARALYMPIC
Tokyo 2020 JARL Commemorative Award


TOKYO2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games are held this year in Japan. JARL will open the Special Event Stations (SESs) to commemorate the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Once you have made QSOs with SESs, you are eligible for JARL special award named "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Commemorative Award."

 Requirements
1 TOKYO 2020 QSO (reception) with one or more SES(s) of the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games", which JARL establishes and operates.   The number of QSOs (reception) with SESs is printed on the award.
2 TOKYO 2020
D-STAR
QSOs (reception) with 20 different stations in the D-STAR mode, including one or more SES(s) of the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games", which JARL sets up and operates.
3 TOKYO 2020
Japan
QSOs (reception) with 10 stations in different cities, counties and wards in Japan, including one or more SESs for the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games", which JARL sets up and operates.   Additonal QSOs (reception) endorsement stickers will be issued in 50 units.
4 TOKYO 2020
World ※
QSOs (reception) with 10 different prefixes in the world, including one or more SES(s) for the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games", which JARL sets up and operates.   Additonal QSOs (reception) endorsement stickers will be issued in 50 units.
5 TOKYO 2020
Special
QSOs (reception) with a total of 11 SESs, including 10 SESs for the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games" those are established and operated by 10 JARL regional headquarters, and 1 SES which is established and operated by JARL HQ in Nishi-Tokyo City, Tokyo.

QSO (reception) with JARL SES(s) in the 10 call areas (1 through 0) established for overseas stations in commemoration of the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games"
 ※ multiple QSOs (reception) with the same call sign on different frequency bands will not be treated as different stations.
〇 Target commemorative stations:
a. Station established and operated by JARL HQ in Nishi-Tokyo City, Tokyo.(JA1TOKYO )
b. Station established and operated by each JARL regional headquarters.

 Valid period:
Only QSOs (reception) made in the period when the SESs are operated by JARL to commemorate the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games" are valid.

JARL starts accepting applications
on May 1, 2021, and will close on December 31, 2021.

(QSLs are not required for this award.)

 Fee:
Tokyo2020-a fee
Please send 1,000 yen.- (or 8IRCs)
with your application.
Free for junior high school students or anyone younger than 15 years.
( Please send the documents for age verification)

 Endorsement:
Applicants can request for the maximum of 3 endorsements from the following
kinds.
□ Single Band □ Single Mode □ QRP (QRPp)
□ Satellite □ D-STAR □ ONE DAY    etc...

 Points:
If you made QSOs (reception) through repeaters or internet, we will also issue the award.

 Commemorative Plaque:
If you obtain all five awards,
you are eligible to apply for a commemorative plaque (a fee is required).
〇"6:TOKYO 2020 DX-AJD" award is not valid for a commemorative plaque
